I have faultered and temporarily lost my way. I have commited what I used to think would be a heavy sin. I bought a Gibson Les Paul Premium Plus. My dedication to FMIC has not wavered, but I've always been tempted by the curves of a Les Paul, and had the desire for one for quite a while. "She" has not been named as of yet, so something that fits the with the rest of "girls" ("Sophi" and "Elle") would be appropriate.

My good pal, Robert Svilpa, is having a CD release party and preformance at EMP's Liquid Loungethis next saturday (4/23/2005), and has aked me to open the show by doing some acoustic material. Robert's music lies somewhere in the progressive rock territory, somewhere between Pink Floyd and Dream Theatre, very fluid and well orchastrated. I'm pretty excited to be playing this gig, as it's been a while since I have done an acoustic concert, and I usually prefer cranking up the rock n' roll tones with my strat! Also lending his fantastic style to this performance, is "Bird" Nelson, who is an amazing guitarist and musician that I've played with quite a bit in the past. Rumor has it, the performances will be recorded, so I may post the songs here sometime after 4/23.

I should mention that there is no cover charge, and the music will start at 10pm.
