"Shit, Piss, Fuck, Cunt, Cocksucker, MotherFucker and Tits"

Another sad day for me as comedy legend George Carlin dies in Los Angeles. Never underestimated the power of negative thinking. Question Authority. Crap, Question everything.

The Huffington Post has a collection of YouTube snippet from George's HBO specials

A bunch of great, "cynical" quotes found here -

"Millennials are younger. Healthier. They got to do anal in high school. They think updating a spreadsheet while posting to a Twitter account about gossip on perezhilton.com is an essential corporate skill"

"We may not be the next Greatest Generation, but we're pretty good at calling bullshit."

Features : Radar Online : A Call to Arms Against Millennials

Then there is this counter piece, which is naive at best:

"Why Gen Y will change the web" - the funniest quote -

"Gen Y sees no reason why a company can't be more accommodating, offering benefits like the ability to work from anywhere, flex-time, a culture that supports team communication, and a "fun" work environment. They're also not going to blindly follow orders just because you're the boss."

Just a quick post to catch my breath, so please take a lingering look around MSDN and TechNet, you notice that the teams have deployed a new graphic design to the sites. One of the more exciting features showcased, are in the content itself, as the blogs for Soma Somasegar, Scott Guthrie and Mark Russinovich are "smack-dab" in the center of each home page. You can't get a more direct connection to Microsoft "rock stars" than that!

Ok, back to "thumb-typing".

Fareed Zakaria is one of my favorites, with great insight into the world outside US Borders, which he refers to as "Post Americanism".

Hind sight is 20/20, Welcome to Generation Pessimist. You have to love that way P.J. O'Rourke "spins" his views, which end up not being to far from accurate.

"But the problem isn't politicians -- it's politics. Politics won't allow for the truth. And we can't blame the politicians for that. Imagine what even a little truth would sound like on today's campaign trail:

"No, I can't fix public education. The problem isn't the teachers unions or a lack of funding for salaries, vouchers or more computer equipment-The problem is your kids!"
